Aaron O’Hare

Irish baritone Aaron O’Hare completed his BMus (Hons) at the University of Ulster, and went on to complete an MMus at the Royal Northern College of Music under the tutelage of Matthew Best, having been awarded the ABRSM Entrance Scholarship. Aaron won the Northern Ireland Opera ‘Voice of 2015’ competition during their Festival of Voice and is also a recipient of the BBC NI and Arts Council NI ‘Young Musician’s Platform Award.’

Aaron has worked with leading companies in Ireland and England, including NI Opera, Irish National Opera, Welsh National Opera, Opera Holland Park, The Grange Festival and Buxton Festival Opera. He joined Garsington Opera’s Alvarez Young Artist’s programme in 2016 and was a member of the Opera Holland Park Young Artists in 2018. Aaron played Mike in John Adam’s I was looking at the Ceiling and then I saw the Sky for the Opera Lyon studio last year and is currently an Associate Artist at Welsh National Opera where he sang March Hare/White Knight in Will Todd’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland this summer. In 2022 he will sing Stárek Jenůfa for WNO and will also cover the title role in Don Giovanni.
